Ford or Ford Motor Company, being the world’s fourth largest automobile maker by worldwide sales and production, is a well-known first American car manufacturer founded on June 16, 1903 by a very handsome gentleman, Henry Ford.

Henry Ford was 40 years old when he founded the Ford Motor Company with $28,000 in cash from twelve investors. A few notable investors are John and Horace Dodge, who later found the Dodge cars. Henry Ford uses the investment and converted a factory in Detroit as Ford first manufacturing factory.

Early Ford cars

The first Ford car was introduced in 1903, which is the famous over-100-years-old Ford Model A, yes it is A. Later on, Model K and Model S were introduced. Ford Model K is also known as “the gentleman’s roadster” and “the silent cyclone” due to the car engine is run with 6 cylinders that are more silent during the combustion happen. Model S was the last right-hand steering model in 1907.

In 1908, Ford Motor Company set the year as historic year where automobile became popular. The model T strikes the market like thunder because it is affordable by most of the middle-class income earner in America during 1910s. The Ford Model T was world’s most influential “car of the twentieth century”.
