Without any of these parts, the combustion will not be able to run a gasoline-powered engine.
For fuel parts, an engine can either run with carburetor fuel system or fuel injection systems. Most of the cars that newer than mid 90’s are running on fuel injection system. The fuel system is connected to the fuel tank through fuel lines and the function is to blend proper air and fuel into the engine for better combustion. The function is to recharge the battery while the car is running to keep the battery power.
Last but not least, the lubricant inside an engine. An engine could not be run without engine oil, coolant, and oil. The oil pump and oil filter is those parts that deal with the oil. When combustion happens inside an engine, it needs coolant to cool down the temperature, therefore the engine needs a radiator, water hose, water pump, as well as thermostat.
